Description
An old Dutch windmill in orange on a blue shield of the outline of the shield on the seal of the City of New Amsterdam; shield to be approximately 2 1/2 inches (6.35cm) in height.
Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was originally authorized for the 12th Army Corps on 26 Oct 1923. It was redesignated on 22 Jan 1959 for the XII U.S. Army Corps. A distinctive unit insignia was not approved for the XII U. S. Army Corps. (TIOH Drawing Number A-1-68)
