Symbolism

Black denotes the unknown characteristics of the future battlefields. The striking lightning bolt illustrates the Brigade’s mission of delivering heightened awareness and understanding to commanders, at all levels in the field. The dagger symbolizes the sharpness of the technical and tactical proficiency of all soldiers across the Brigade.

Background
The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved effective 1 September 2009. (TIOH Dwg. No. A-1-987).
